easter weekend

I've just spent the weekend doing nothing at all!!

I don't go home to my parent's farm as often as I used too...but it's so great to go back to get away from it all!

It was a weekend of chocolate, good food, family, farm animals, quiet and fresh air!

80 years

yesterday was my beautiful grandmother's 80th birthday!

she is our family's rock! and she's the best cook!

we are very close to father's parents, as mother's family live on the other side of the world! (canada)

vera was showered with flowers and cakes!

welcome to my garden

I spent the afternoon pottering around my tiny garden.

I grew up in the country, on a farm. Mum has a big veggie garden and orchard. I want that!

I grew cherry tomatoes this year...yummy. I have lettuce and spinach seeds to sow soon. I also have herb seeds, basil and coriander! I bought some herb seedings from the Niche Market yesterday, I want to buy a new terracotta pot for them....i love terracotta pots!

Fingers crossed I can keep my tiny garden safe from the frosts this winter....
